With the help of good people, a small number of stray dogs get some care, but they still lack the owner's responsibility for them, and therefore face a series of animal welfare issues. They rummaged through the rubbish and huddled in the corner to escape the wind and rain and the sun, and even experienced human abuse. For most dogs, the days of street life mean hunger, thirst, illness, abuse, chasing and culling, fighting between peers and car accidents, and even death. And some methods aimed at managing the number of animals are also cruel, such as using inhuman methods to capture and cull animals, or to contain them in unsuitable conditions. These dogs have also possessed their cherished masters, hoping to get a happy family again.

Background

The problem of stray dogs is a worldwide problem. Different countries and regions have taken corresponding measures according to their national conditions, but the common premise is that pet owners cannot arbitrarily abandon animals. In the United States and Canada, stray dogs are taken over by civil aid organizations. Both countries have national private animal aid organizations, some of which are funded by government and the rest are donated by private people. There are about 7,000 animal homes in the United States and Canada, and more than 1,500 stray dogs are housed each year. About 16% of stray dogs can reunite with their owners. In the Americas, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) is the primary agency for protecting animals and hosting stray dogs and stopping animal cruelty, as well as animal shelters set up by private or welfare groups. Animal shelters are often sent to the animals that are coming. The shelter will perform a physical examination first, and the sterilization will be performed first without sterilization. If it is sick, it will be treated and then it will be used to find a adoptive family. Animals that have not been adopted after the expiration are given euthanasia.

Steps:

1. HOME VISIT:After application, employers will schedule for a home visit with one of our volunteers. If we don’t have any volunteers near customers, we arrange for a “virtual” visit, via Skype or Facetime with someone from our team. This helps us ensure it will be a “pawfect” match!
2. CONTRACT:We don’t have an adoption “fee,” we do require a donation to reimburse us for vaccines, the travel crate (which adopters get to keep), microchipping, and transport. The donation we request is $300 USD* per dog. This donation is collected when you sign and submit the adoption contract.
3. TRANSPORT:After receiving donation, we start fundraising and arranging transport! We have online crowd-funding campaigns for transport costs remaining after your donation. Please check with our adoption team to get more timeline info on your specific pet.
4. TOGETHER "FUREVER":Members of our team will keep you constantly updated during your pet's transport.We all just wait for your pet to arrive safely to you! And the rest is your happily-ever-after with your new Bosnian rescue pup.
